Essential Business Solutions, LLC is a fairly new company. So when I say "we" I really mean "me". I am Jessica Mays, Owner, and I understand why you are here. About 10 years ago I joined the family's government relations business and became self employed for the first time. It didn't take me long to realize lobbying wasn't for me, however I also quickly realized our books were a mess, tax rules are different, and no one else wanted to do the paperwork! Leaving me to not only clean up the mess but to learn a new software program with little instruction.
Not every organization has that fall back person and every minute spent fighting the books lessens your passion for your business, causes unneeded stress, and uses up your valuable time. This is why I started Essential BS so I could help others focus on their passion and avoid the stress. I want to be your fall back person for your essential bs.
But what about my knowledge level? After I got the family straightened out I realized I had a knack for books and talking taxes. As clients came in, bookkeeping became a service we offered, for businesses and non-profits. After years in the same position the family decided that some needed to reach for new dreams, so we decided to start branching out... and here I am ready to help you achieve your dreams.
Since starting this process I have heard some horror stories, so I feel it is important to state that I pride myself on being honest, straight forward, and I firmly believe in CYA. Meaning your books are not only safe with me but with documentation to go with them. I also only charge for the work I do, and then only charged for the contracted amount.
